What Is Golden CBD Oil?
Not all CBD oils are the same. The proof is in the purity when it comes to CBD, and the four oil types used today are Raw, Filtered (Golden Oil), Distilled or Isolate based.
After being extracted, raw oil is infused with a vegetable oil. That is the extent, to which it is processed, and no further than that. Raw oil therefore is still contaminated with the impurities from the hemp plant that are never removed. Distillation processing, (often with chemicals like ethanol), creates the range of distillate oils that make up around 80+ % of the UK market. Further processing and targeting solely of the CBD Cannabinoid, is what makes the cheaper Isolate oils/products. Golden CBD oil – filtered and made from naturally grown hemp – provides the Full Spectrum benefits and removes all impurities giving you all the benefits of the Hemp plant without any of the Chlorophyll, Lipids or waxes.
Quality Golden CBD oils are created from oils extracted from the the Hemp plant through a Super-critical CO2 Extraction’ process removing fats. This is the process that the oils provided by Reactive Plus will have gone through prior to being filtered for purity. They are then filtered through a filter press machine where only impurities, leaving behind the rich Golden, Full Spectrum oil.
So, what Does Golden CBD Oil Look Like?
You should see a deep rich golden colour, very similar, actually, to natural honey in colour, with a thick viscousy texture.
This image gives you an example of what the colour should look like. The image is taken from our range of 1600mg, 20 ml tincture products. You can click the image link to see more information on that particular product.
Why is Golden CBD Oil the Best?
Golden oil is extremely pure, containing a full range of Flavonoids, Terpenes and Cannabinoids that make it the most complete oil on the market. It is extensively filtered, in the process of which plant matter, fats, chlorophyll and waxes from compounds are separated, which leads to the clear gold color.
It is the fact that the oil is filtered as opposed to extensive processing that allows for it to retain the elements required from the Hemp plant in a fuller sense, rather than just focusing heavily on the CBD concentration at the expense of all the other useful elements.
A Full Spectrum Content & The Entourage Effect
For a user, the more of the Hemp plant that is included in the dosage they are taking, (minus the impurities like fats, waxes and Chlorophyll), the better the chanche the Entourage Effect will work , ie, when all useful elements of the Hemp Plant work in conjunction with each other. Golden Oil certainly allows for this to happen with a greater chance, than oils carrying impurities, or weaker traces of useful elements.
Distillate oils tend to be overly processed, focusing on the CBD strength and not the other Terpines, Flavonoids and Cannabinoids that also help make the CBD oil product effective. This makes them Broad spectrum in nature as opposed to Full, meaning that the overall value of the oil to the body is minimised beyond the actual CBD component.
Isolate products, the most processed of the CBD products, is the cheapest CBD format, but illegal in the UK and Europe. It also, due to over processing misses out on the other Hemp elements that Golden oil passes on.
What Does Golden CBD Oil Taste and Smell Like?
You may have heard that golden CBD oil tastes and smells really great, in comparison to other oils. Of all the various oil types, its smell and taste is as palatable as can reasonably be expected for a hemp based oil, ie, it is smoother than Raw oils and more distinctive than Isolate and Distillate oils. Raw oils have a bitter, earthy taste, while golden oils have the complex aroma of a large range of Terpenes that remain in the oil, enhancing the smell and taste when taken with a hemp like, almost nutty, fragrance. You don’t taste plant ingredients like chlorophyll that give raw oils a less than palatable taste. Taste is important, because many people take the oil multiple times a day orally where they will taste it long after it has been absorbed if it is less than pure. To be able to take your oil dosage with the smell or taste of the Hemp plant, without the strong over taste of the impurities, is what the majority of people taking CBD are looking for from their oil from product surveys we have taken from customers.
At the opposite end of the spectrum, to Golden Oils, as touched on above, Isolates and Distillates carry very little taste or aroma, as much of the “Hemp Goodness” is missing. Golden Oil is the balance between too strong, Raw Oils, and filled with impurities, or too weak and without many of the Hemp value people are looking to gain through taking CBD oil in the first place, Isolates and Distillates.
Is Golden CBD Oil the Most Effective Type?
Yes, we think so as we have discussed above, but why? It’s because in the oil, many of the essential compounds within it work together to bring about a stronger result than each compound would on its own, the Entourage Effect, see above. There are also many attributes carried by the range of Cannabinoids that are lost through over distillation and processing that are not lost with Golden, filtered oil. This term is often cited with respect to the efficacy of Flavonoids and Terpenes in combination with CBD, (and a full spectrum of Cannabinoids), to provide a better over all experience for the consumer tying in with the bodies Endo Cannabinoid system.
Only the Best
Golden oils offer more consistent levels of Cannabinoids including CBD, focusing on giving buyers only the best parts of the cannabis plant and getting rid of everything else they wouldn’t want. As a result, smaller doses are usually required than if you were to buy raw oils or weak distillates, offering you much better value for money in the long run.
The simple fact you are buying a pure, Cannabinoid packed oil that is palatable and great value for money, means many will look at these oils as superior to others on the market.
What Is The Biochemistry Of Golden CBD Oil?
Golden Oil works like all CBD oils. It works with the endocannabinoid system by decelerating the breakdown of anandamide by inhibiting the responsible enzyme, known as FAAH (fatty acid amide hydrolase), instead of relying on binding to the CB1 and CB2 receptors as THC does. As the compound literally “fights for a spot” to be processed by FAAH, it reduces the amount of anandamide that is ultimately broken down.
The resulting “balancing” of the Endocannabinoid system is the result, as well as the bodies reaction to the Flavonoid and Terpene compounds working in much the same way antioxidents from fruit and vegetables do. More on them below.
Terpenes And CBD
Terpenes are the secret of the characteristic smell, color, and taste of the cannabis plant. Actually, terpenes are a major class of organic compounds found in a number of plants, including hemp. They are aromatic chemicals also found in resin, cinnamon, ginger and some essential oils. In other words, you’ll find them in most plants which smell in an intense, captivating way. They are responsible for the unique smell of marijuana smoke or flowering flowers in our case. Golden oil filters a full range of terpenes, like Myrcene that is thought to enhance the blood brain barrier, allowing for Cannabinoids to penetrate easier and increase effectiveness. You have around 200 different Terpenes in the Hemp plant. Make sure your oils carry a broad spectrum of these, our Golden oils do.
What About Flavonoids In CBD?
Flavonoids are compounds in the Hemp plant which give it its pigmentation (color), filter out UV rays, attract pollinators, and prevent plant diseases. They are an important factor to any quality CBD product in our opinion, and they are part of the Golden Oils we supply. They are thought to be responsible for reducing the risk of many serious illnesses, and ailments, More research is being done regarding Hemp Flavonoids, but the current thought is they are as valuable as antioxidants to the body. CBD oils, overly processed, that exclude these useful compounds are not going to be offering you the overall goodness available from the Hemp plant. Golden oils are only filtered and therefore maintain high levels of them, just as they do Terpenes and other Cannabinoids. There are around 20 types of Flavonoid in Hemp. You should make sure the oils you are using are as filled with them as the Golden oils we supply.
Is There Any THC In Golden CBD Oil?
You’ve also heard some CBD oils can contain traces of THC, the psychoactive substance in cannabis. In raw CBD oils, THC in percentages of up to 0.2% can be found. It is 100% legal and safe to consume golden CBD oil in the UK and indeed the USA, (where CBD is legalised). It doesn’t get in the way of driving, operating machines, or any other task requiring increased mental focus and attention as it is not psycho active in the same way THC heavy oils would be.
Is Golden Oil Easy to Use?
Golden CBD oil is easy to use. You don’t need to take any additional measures prior to consumption. As with any other CBD oil product it will come ready for consumption in either a Tincture or Capsule. Vape E Liquid can also be Golden though it has to be prepared differently for being vaped as normal Cannabidiol oil will not work in vaping equipment.
Leading the Pack
Golden oils will continue to be at the fore front of the highest-quality CBD products we see marketed. As the fog surrounding CBD clears more and more people will recognise its importance due to all the above mentioned benefits. There is hope, that as filtration
